You have the opportunity to connect with the student(s) you are sponsoring, and receive quarterly updates on their progress.

How Does Sponsorship Work?

Every year, millions of young people are forced to drop-out of school. The TNF sponsorship programs works with our community partners to identify students who are at risk of school drop-out, and pair them with TNF sponsors. Based on a needs-based lottery system, we work to pair thousands of students with TNF sponsors, decreasing the school drop-out rate in our project zones exponentially. For as little as $18 a month, you have the opportunity to make change happen, and give the gift of education to students across the globe.

Educate

By becoming a sponsor, you are guaranteeing a student(s) right to a meaningful and quality education.

Employ

All students in our program take secondary school courses as well as vocational classes, helping to equip students with practical and theoretical skills to prepare them for the global job market.

Empower

Through our program, you are empowering our youth to grow, innovate and become the change-makers of their respective communities.

Elevate

Our unique, 100% transparent program give you the opportunity to see what real change looks like. An investment in our youth is an investment in our future.

This program has brought me hope, and if it were not for The Nation Foundation, I would not be able to receive the education that I need for my future.

"I have been a sponsor student for already 3 years and it has allowed me to focus so much more on my studies. My performance has improved, and my family is very grateful for the support they have received. I have a few more years before I graduate, but still, I can't thank enough all the people who have helped me reach this level of schooling, when many kids in my country don't even make it this far."

"I plan on being one of the best engineers in my country. Thanks to my sponsor I have been able to continue my High School studies and not have to worry about how my school fees will be paid. This assistance has helped my family immensely, and allowed me to continue reaching for my goals, confident that they will happen."

"I love dancing! I am able to show our beautiful culture on the dance floor, and one day I'll be able to show it off to the world. I'm happy that with the help of TNF, our school is able to hold its annual Music, Dance and Drama competition. So much practice goes into these competitions, so it's nice to know that we have a lot of support to continue the tradition."

“In my primary level I thought secondary life would be hard, but after finishing my primary exams I knew I could succeed in the next step. In the future I want to become a member of parliament in the Republic of Uganda. I have certificates and rewards of being a good leader, and now in secondary I am interested in music, dance and drumming.”

"During my first year at the Kikaaya Secondary School I met the Nation Foundation staff. I am now in my last year of High School and have seen all the wonderful things they have done for our school. I was part of the first basketball team TNF help create at Kikaaya, even before we had a full basketball court. Now he have a professional court, which for me represents how much the school and myself have grown since 2014."

"In the future I would like to become a nurse and help out all those who need me. I have learned a lot from those who have helped me and would love to give back in return. I will work hard for the firm foundation of my country and for my future goals. I will always believe in myself and I know I will make it because that is what I was taught from those who supported me."
