Yoselyn, from Panama, traveled to Kikaaya Uganda as part of NF’s Summer 2018 Cohort. During her month in Uganda, Yoselyn taught courses on Human Rights. Yoselyn organized and hosted a woman’s health workshop, where students were taught how to make their own reusable sanitary pads and the importance of sustainable hygienic practices.
During the course of her program, Yoselyn hosted a Spanish workshop, and introduced some Spanish dishes to the students at Kikaaya.
Before returning to her new job in Geneva, Yoselyn traveled to a safari in Murchison Falls National Park and made her dreams a reality when she saw her favorite animal: the elephant. Yoselyn is currently assisting with fundraising and hopes to return to Uganda to continue helping the Kikaaya community.
